Language teachers are in a unique position to have linguistic and cultural diversity as fundamental components of our classes. However, when students come with beliefs that may or may not be grounded in truth, how can teachers best navigate the conversation? This session will offer examples of how to add a social justice lens to commonly taught units, as well as introduce the power of offering a counter-narrative in a post-truth world.
