We take for granted that students know "how" to listen to the range of input source they encounter in a given class. And while listening accounts for 45% of daily communication in a given class (1995, Burley-Allen), we rarely teach listening strategies that help students process both bottom-up and top-down listening. This session is designed to help educators rethink the student experience before, during, and after listening activities.
