This study reveals instructors' and students' perceptions about the efficacy of the language program at an Army Special Operations training center to propel students to the 1+ or higher level of proficiency on the ILR Scale. Instructors' and students' perceptions questionnaires revealed that the curriculum established by DLI at the school is successful at this task. Information gathered through focus groups and anonymous questionnaires revealed somewhat conflicting points of view between the students and the instructors, however, results are fascinating.
